We may have been too busy to take pictures of the food and the crowds at the Locus Wines Spring Release last Saturday but feeding 135 or so winelovers with 8 different food pairings is not an easy task. At least we have the menu for you to lust over. Thank you ESCA team, Chris W, Katherine H, Renea E and Ell B. for the amazing teamwork.
ESCA is catering the Spring Release party for Locus Wines on Saturday, April 22nd from 2-6PM in Madrona (1515 Madrona Dr., Seattle, WA 98122). There is no charge for the tasting at this public event so if you were thinking about sampling our foods, come join us (or more appropriately come join Locus Wines folk) on the 22nd. Don’t worry, we told them we’d put this blogpost out. If you decide you want to join us, you can let us know by RSVPing on the Locus Wines Facebook event page so they can tell us how much food they need. More information on the event is on Locus Wines’ website.
Here is a look at previous Locus Wines events we catered:
We had a great time at TASTE Washington this last weekend, serving just under 2,000 pieces of each of the pastry squares and pork rillettes crostini and countless (disposable but recyclable) spoonfuls of Asure, a pudding that blew away some minds on day 2. The overwhelmingly positive reception made us forget that we were all hunching over prepping the food at a crazy fast pace. We also did ourselves a favor by ending service an hour earlier than the Sunday’s closing bell so that we can all broaden our own horizons on wine (over 230 wineries represented) as well as check out the competition (60+ restaurants and 5 or so catering companies represented). The ESCA team (Renea, Katherine, Ivan – all current students of Seattle Culinary Academy except Renea who graduated last week) did wonders and after an hour of drinking and eating at the end of the show, we even ended up getting a bit giddy as you can see in the team picture. Cheers to you, cheers to us. Thank you for all that came by and ate the food (and mostly came back for repeat visits).
Come visit us at the TASTE Washington Grand Tasting this coming Saturday and Sunday, March 25th and 26th from 2-5PM at the Century Field Convention Center. We are going to have the ever-popular Four Cheese Pastry and Caramelized Onion Pastry Squares as well as the Pork Rillettes Crostini with apricot preserves, toasted slivered almonds and red onion paper. Want more information? Check out the TASTE Washington website. And oh, if you want a bit more special treatment, see if you can still get VIP tickets that can get you in a full hour before the crowds, at 1PM.
